Volunteer Profile - Merry DePhillips

Since 2001 Merry DePhillips has been a dedicated volunteer at God's Love We Deliver. She has contributed over 250 hours of slicing, dicing, seasoning and preparing meals on Tuesday evenings. It seems we're not alone in recognizing what a treasure we have in Merry. Her employer Grey Advertising recently honored her as "Giver of the Month." Although Merry is the quiet productive type, her secret is out. Grey Advertising had this to say about Merry:

"When Merry's not keeping costs in line as our VP Manager of Production Cost Services, she's volunteering her time to work with God's Love We Deliver - A group which provides nutritious meals, free of charge to people with HIV/AIDS, Cancer and other life altering illnesses. Since 2001, Merry has volunteered one night every week to work in their kitchen. 2007 marks the third year in a row that Merry will be running in the race to deliver to raise funds for GLWD. Go, Merry!"

The Race to Deliver has become a family affair. In 2007 Merry's partner, Maria, designed this wonderful poster to help her raise big money.

We love Merry's energy and enthusiasm. She is an ambassador, spreading the message of our mission, a fund-raiser, a kitchen volunteer and a cherished part of our family. David Christmas often jokes "If we got married, she'd be Merry Christmas" ~HAR HAR~ Merry is a good sport and smiles through both David's jokes and the endless kitchen tasks.
