Eligibility

To be eligible for our meal delivery services, a person must meet the flowing criteria:

  • Live in one of the five boroughs of New York or Hudson County, New Jersey
  • Have a medical diagnosis of a serious illness that can be confirmed by his/her primary physician. Examples of such illnesses are, but not limited to: AIDS or HIV Disease, Alzheimer's, Cancer (a current diagnosis and receiving treatment), Hepatitis C, MS, Parkinson's Disease, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Peripheral Neuropathy and many others.
  • Physical difficulties due to his/her illness that restrict his/her activities of daily living. (Such as unable to cook and shop for oneself, difficulty walking, standing for long periods of time, etc…)

Once a year, you will need to recertify your medical eligibility to remain on our meal program. We will alert you through mail or over the phone when we need a new medical form from your doctor.
